"Zbiotics’ Prealcohol is everything it purports to be. I shared 3 12-packs with a number of friends at a weekend getaway recently. The positive response was unanimous. While our celebrations together were not over the top (for most of us), everyone woke up the following mornings feeling clear headed and great. Thank you!"
"I am a return customer needed to purchase several of the pre-alcohol ahead of a trip overseas on a tight window. I have used their product for some time occasionally on anticipated late nights, so I reached out to support to rush my shipping ahead of my international trip and they were so responsive via email. We are talking 3-5 emails in a 10 minute period. Incredible product, fantastic customer service. Thank you Zbiotics!"
"Hi, I tried the products. It was very good and they delivered with their promised. It was a one night I drink heavy next mourning. I feel great. I’m really glad that I purchased one your product and I really appreciate it. Thank you very much."
"My 15 year college reunion was coming up so I knew I needed a plan. I gave these a try a few weeks prior during a party at a winery with an open bar and I woke up the next day actually feeling alive! That’s how I knew these were the real deal. I have since told everyone about it. I have people coming up to me at work asking about it. I told my entire college class that they need it for homecoming. And now they’re also telling everyone. Yall are out here saving lives! Or at the very least making sure no one feels like death the next day lol. If you want to be able to function the day after the function, then you need these. Full stop."
"I like my light beers and sometimes me and the neighbors go a little longer than anticipated and taking Z-Biotics before hand I have definitely noticed that most of not all(depending on how much we drink though it's been less these days) sorry most of the yuck rotten feeling the following morning is mostly if not completely gone, I rely on Z-Biotics, thank you, Ronson Quinto"
"The first time I tried zbiotics I was at a restaurant for my boon NYC. My friends and I knew we’d be drinking heavily so we all knew it would 1. Be a long night and 2. We’d be drinking a FEW drinks. At the end of the night we were all shocked how well we still felt. I ordered the subscription that night. Since the first night I’ve had two boxes be delivered. These beautiful little viles have made my drinking experience so much better. I’ve taken these to Munich for Oktoberfest, birthday parties, weddings, even a random date night and I’ve given and shared them with coworkers and friends. They are always a hit! I swear by these and soon I’ll be posting about them to my social media because they are THAT GOOD. This is coming from a flight attendant who travels the world. You have a long time customer when it comes to me."
"I finally had a chance to try this because I don’t drink often. After a wedding where I had several different types of alcohol over the evening, I was able to get up and get around pretty normally the next morning! I am excited to try it again to verify the results!"
"We were still jet-lagged from a 12 hour international flight and I had one generous pour of a gin & tonic. As someone in their late 50's this could really wreck me, but the next day, I fell fantastic and clear-headed ready to enjoy every minute of my vacation. Heard about this product for a long time on Pod Save America and decided to try it. VERY SATISFIED and I would order again!"
"Doesn't prevent you from being tired the next day, but I have twice definitely "earned" feeling awful the next day but was only tired. Will be buying more for sure."
"Anecdotally, maybe this works. But with some of the money you're making, commission a real scientific study to find out. Are you not commissioning a study because you're not sure it works?"

Pre-Alcohol is a beverage containing a patented, genetically engineered probiotic (B. subtilis ZB183™) that helps you land on your feet the day after drinking alcohol. It’s engineered to break down acetaldehyde – the compound your body produces as it breaks down alcohol.
Pre-Alcohol is designed to replicate the natural process of your liver, but do it in your gut. We took a normal probiotic bacteria you already eat every day, and we bioengineered it to produce the same type of enzyme your liver produces. That enzyme breaks down acetaldehyde – an unwanted byproduct of alcohol that accumulates in your gut when you drink.
Your liver does not have access to your gut. But by drinking Pre-Alcohol, the goal is to augment your gut’s natural ability to digest acetaldehyde while you drink and while you sleep – helping you make the most of the next day. Just remember that Pre-Alcohol does not affect intoxication or make alcohol safer to drink, so always drink responsibly.
When you're drinking. The earlier the better.
The probiotic in Pre-Alcohol needs time to “wake up” in your gut, so we say the earlier the better if you can remember it. We drink Pre-Alcohol just before going out – right before our first drink. But it should be active if you drink it any time during the day or evening. So whether it’s a few hours before drinking, right with your first drink, or even if you’ve already enjoyed a round or two, go for it.
The probiotic in Pre-Alcohol is likely to stay in your body for 18-24 hours after you drink it. So one bottle will cover you for a whole day, even if you're starting with brunch mimosas followed by evening plans later on!
Pre-Alcohol expires 18 months after bottling. Check the “BB” (Best-By) date on your bottle or box.
Store Pre-Alcohol at room temperature with the cap on. Do not refrigerate. Do not open it until you’re ready to drink it; opening it could potentially let contaminants from the air into the bottle.
Yes. Pre-Alcohol is fully FDA-compliant for safety and adheres to all regulatory requirements for sale in the U.S.
Note that FDA compliance is not FDA approval. FDA approval is a process reserved for drug products. Pre-Alcohol is a food/beverage product and has not been approved as efficacious for any purpose by the FDA.
FDA-compliant for safety means that we’ve satisfied all regulatory requirements to ensure Pre-Alcohol is safe and can be legally sold in the United States. That means that all our manufacturing is conducted in an FDA-registered food-grade facility according to Good Manufacturing Practices compliant with 21 CFR 117. It also means that our novel ingredient – Bacillus subtilis ZB183™ – has been extensively tested and is generally recognized, among qualified experts, as having been adequately shown to be safe under the conditions of its intended use.
No.
Pre-Alcohol will not affect your level of intoxication. Pre-Alcohol does not decrease your blood alcohol level, nor does it make alcohol any safer.
All the same rules about alcohol safety apply. Don’t get behind the wheel, don't operate heavy machinery, and don't drink too much. Alcohol is still dangerous on its own (citation).
That's not how it's designed.
We intentionally designed Pre-Alcohol so that it would not change your microbiome. We purposefully built our probiotic using a base bacteria that is well-adapted to passing straight through you and not colonizing your gut.
This creates a few likely benefits: (1) your microbiome remains unchanged; (2) the interaction between our probiotic and your gut should remain consistent and predictable; and (3) because we’re not trying to change your microbiome, we don’t need to use an excessive amount of probiotic per serving.
Yes!

Pre-Alcohol also doesn’t contain artificial flavors, and is vegan and vegetarian friendly.
Please note that our product contains live probiotic bacteria. As with any new food or supplement, it is always best to consult your medical doctor if you have any concerns related to your gut health with a new product.
